Rio Verde is located in the Monte Cucco Natural Park in a small valley wich hosts the Chiascio creek.The altitude is only 500 metres above sea level, but the place is surrounded by mountains, even in the summer evenings, the weather is cool thanks to the thick vegetation wich characterizes the camping area.

The pitches are numbered but there are no boundary lines so as not to resemble parking spaces.
The swimming pool constructed in 1986 in 2004 has been completely renewed.
It is the ideal place to enjoy nature, relax or practice sports in the calm countryside.

At the little restaurant nearby the swimming pool you can taste the typical dishes of the area, together with good wines from the region. Early in the morning you can smell the aroma of fresh bread and sweet croissants.

Those who likes horse back-riding cannot miss a wonderful tour freely in the countryside in the midst of the woods, creeks and hills. The Natural Park of Monte Cucco offers you a lot of interesting attractions: fossils, caves, trekking along the numbered lush paths. You can admire centenary trees and medicinal plants and blowing flowers.

Hang-gliding is one of the most exciting sport you can practise in Monte Cucco, one of the most famous place in Italy and Europe. In 1999 it hosted the world championship, often the Italian Championship, each year many foreign pilots come from all over the world for the International Trophy.
